Welcome to Westlands School. If you are reading this message on our website, I would strongly advise you to come and visit us so that you can see for yourself what a great school we have. Westlands School is based on a tradition of success in terms of high achievement, a caring approach to our students, and in providing opportunities for all. Whatever your background, learning needs, gifts and talents, we believe we can offer all students a chance to do well, both with regard to their learning and in preparation for adulthood. As a large school we have facilities to appeal to students who are academic, creative, and practical. There really is something for everybody. Find out more here.

  • 21-07-2017 - GCSE Statistics Results - New Year 11

All Year 10 (new Year 11) GCSE Statistics results will be available from the start of the new school term.  If however pupils are desperate to receive results prior to their return to school, they can come into school and collect them from the main school office (NOT THE HALL), on the day that results are officially released on Thursday 24 August.

Results will be released from the main school office from 1.00pm to 3.00pm only.

Results will not be released over the telephone.  Results cannot be released to parents or friends.  Pupils can only collect their own results and not those of others.  The only exception to this is if the office is told in advance that an adult will be collecting the result on behalf of the pupil.  If this is the case, the adult (including parents) will need to bring a letter written, signed and dated by the pupil authorising the release of results and will need to show a form of identification.

If pupils are unable to get into school on 24 August and cannot wait until the start of term, they can leave a stamped addressed envelope clearly labelled “GCSE Statistics” at the main school office by 22 August.  The result will then be posted on 24 August.

More information is available in the Year 11 Information Evening presentation.

  • 11-07-2017 - Keeping our Pupils Safe - No Driving onto School Site

    Dear Parent/Carer

Parents/carers should not be driving onto the school site before or after school to drop off and collect pupils. It is a real danger and a health and safety risk. Only vehicles for pupils in the Physically Disabled Provision are allowed access onto our site at these times.

With over 300 new Year 6 pupils this week, it is vital that parents use either The Grove, Wickes or other parking areas to meet their children.

Thank you for your support in this matter.

    Mr Hallam

    Deputy Headteacher
