Safeguarding
Westlands Secondary School is committed to safeguarding our students, staff and visitors and expect anyone connected to the school to share this commitment. Westlands Secondary School works with outside agencies in line with Working Together to Safeguard Children 2018 and Keeping Children Safe in Education 2023 to promote the safeguarding and wellbeing of all students and staff (you can find both of these policies below). Please also see the Local Safeguarding Children Partnership for more information.
We have a strong safeguarding team at Westlands Secondary School, the majority of whom are community based. Any issues of safeguarding can be raised with either the Designated Safeguarding Lead Mrs Adelle Giles (Senior Mental Health Lead / Lead for On-line Safety), Safeguarding Support Officer Mrs Kate Payne and Safeguarding Administrative Assistant Miss Donegan or with one of the Deputy Designated Safeguarding Leads. Direct contact details can be found in the list below.
